Back in the 1970s, shorts like these became part of the PT uniform, and they picked up a nickname that never left: silkies. Ours keep the short cut and the name, then add four-way stretch, a liner and a key pocket.

How do Silkies fit?

Go by waist: S fits 27–29″, M 29–31″, L 31–33″, XL 33–35″ and 2XL 35–37″. If your thighs are on the bigger side, check the thigh column too. Michelle (5′5″, 175 lbs, 35″ waist, 27″ thigh) went XL and says “it fits great.”

How short are they?

Short. The inseam is 2.75″ on a Small and 3″ on Medium through 2XL. In one reviewer’s words: “They are short. Be confident or buy something longer.”

Is there a liner?

Yes, every pair has an internal liner. One owner found it a little snug on the legs at first and says it “loosened up a bit with wear and washing.”

Where do my keys go?

In the internal key pocket, on the inside of the shorts.

Are they made from the woobie material?

No. Silkies are 100% four-way stretch polyester, which is what you want in a pair of shorts. The quilted woobie build is in the Hoodie, the Jackets and the Blankets.
