The Woobie Jacket utilizes the same material as the military’s Poncho Liner - originally issued to US Special Forces soldiers who needed a lightweight, packable, and insulating layer that was abrasion resistant and dried quickly. This is a good quality jacket, fits great. I ordered an XL. I am 6'2", 200 lbs. It is just warm enough for most any spring and fall activities. So far, it appears to be very durable as well.
I do really like this jacket except I am concerned about the durability of the materials over a long period of time. I am exceptionally hard on stuff and am taking that into consideration but have already managed to tear it in a few places by complete accident. It is very warm. Not too sure about my particular one in terms of water resistance as I went snowshoeing yesterday for 5 hours and it soaked through a little faster than I would have liked. That being said I liked it so much I ordered another one, and a poncho, and a blanket. I just maybe (to my fault completely) thought the material would be more durable The multicam black medium 2.0 I ordered just came and has a pretty glaring sewing mistake right where the hood meets the jacket body. I am certain that the company would probably make it right if I reached out, but I don’t like to deal with the hassle of returning items so will probably just wear it like it is. I found that I fit better in a medium even with the 2.0 where I am generally a large otherwise
